APR Disclosure
Plucky Money is a loan-comparison and connection service operated by PLUCKY MONEY LLC. Plucky Money is not a lender and does not set, control or quote interest rates or fees. This page describes the general ranges offered across our network of independent lenders. It is for information only and is not an offer, a quote or a commitment to lend.
1. What APR means
APR, or annual percentage rate, is the yearly cost of borrowing, expressed as a percentage. It includes the interest rate plus certain fees, such as origination fees, so it is the best single number for comparing offers. Two loans with the same interest rate can have different APRs if their fees are different.
The lower the APR, the less the loan costs. But the total cost also depends on how long you take to repay: a longer term usually means a lower monthly payment and a higher total cost.
2. Ranges across our lender network
- Loan amounts: $50 to $5,000
- APR: 4% to 35.99%
- Repayment terms: 70 days to 36 months
Where you land within these ranges depends on the lender's review of your credit history, income, the amount you request, the state you live in and other factors. Some lenders charge fees, such as origination fees, which are included in the APR. Not everyone will qualify, and submitting a request does not guarantee an offer or any specific terms.
3. Examples
Representative example. A $2,000 loan repaid in 12 equal monthly payments at 24.00% APR would have a monthly payment of $189.12, for a total repayment of $2,269.44. The total cost of borrowing would be $269.44.

The table below shows how the cost changes across the range of rates and terms in our network.
| Loan amount | Term | APR | Monthly payment | Total repayment | Total cost of borrowing |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $2,000 | 24 months | 4.00% | $86.85 | $2,084.40 | $84.40 |
| $2,000 Representative | 12 months | 24.00% | $189.12 | $2,269.44 | $269.44 |
| $500 | 6 months | 35.99% | $92.30 | $553.80 | $53.80 |
| $1,000 | 12 months | 35.99% | $100.46 | $1,205.52 | $205.52 |
| $5,000 | 36 months | 35.99% | $228.99 | $8,243.64 | $3,243.64 |
These examples assume equal monthly payments, no fees and on-time payments. The final payment may differ slightly because of rounding. If a lender charges an origination fee that is deducted from the loan, you will receive less than the loan amount, but your payments will be based on the full amount. Your actual terms will be in the lender's disclosures.
4. Who sets your rate
Only the lender that reviews your request decides your APR, fees, loan amount and repayment schedule. Plucky Money plays no part in that decision and cannot tell you in advance what terms you may be offered. If you receive an offer, read the lender's disclosures and loan agreement carefully. You are never obligated to accept an offer.
5. State and military rate limits
Many states limit the rates and fees lenders can charge, and some types of loans are not available in every state. Lenders must follow the laws of the state where you live, so the offers available to you may differ from the ranges above.
If you are an active-duty member of the armed forces, or a spouse or dependent of one, the Military Lending Act limits the Military Annual Percentage Rate (MAPR) on most consumer loans to 36%, including certain fees and charges.
6. Your Truth in Lending disclosures
The federal Truth in Lending Act and its Regulation Z require every lender to give you clear written disclosures of the exact APR, finance charge, amount financed, total of payments and payment schedule before you are bound by a loan. Review them carefully and keep a copy. If anything is unclear, ask the lender before you sign.
